We converted a small inefficient dark kitchen into a streamlined show-piece that reflects the client interest in exotic material and contemporary art. Design includes an integration of Bubinga and Maple woods. Custom light boxes and fixtures and fully integrated appliances. second place NKBA National Design Competition 2003

ARTISTIC RENDERING            This design came to life from this rendering. The first element conceptualized was the column that wraps around the corner on the left of this rendering. This “anchor-point” was built upon to develop the entire design. The clients request for exotic material and two wood species was fulfilled by specifying Maple and Bubinga wood in a unique manner. Open shelves, custom light boxes and inlays were used to create an alluring interplay of color, direction and balance. SEE THE FINISHED PROJECT BELOW

A seldom used formal dining area was incorporated into the kitchen. Resulting in two large windows and nearly double the square footage being added to the kitchen space. The large footprint of the kitchen had the potential to create an inefficient space. However we created a “kitchen within a kitchen” concept. Placing all the important work areas within ten feet. second place NKBA National Design Competition 2003

This completely remodeled Condo, in Ventnor NJ, features cherry cabinets and quartz counter tops

A distinctive element included in the Ventnor NJ project; We opened a partition wall between the living area and a dark bathroom and installed opaque glass. This allowed the natural light to pour into the bathroom but maintained privacy. The shelves float in front of the glass and are anchored to the entertainment area cabinetry.

Clean, sleek and functional. We combined the laundry room, kitchen and sitting room in this Wynnewood home to create this design. Featuring two islands, tumbled marble back splash, wood floors and cherry cabinetry. An exterior door in the laundry room remained but is behind the glass block. This created a focal point for the design with the light pouring through the glass, a small storage area for gardening items, improved the flow of the room and minimized the impact on the budget.

The efficiency of this large kitchen was maintained by including two islands in the design. One island includes a prep area, trash pull out and pot and pan storage and is adjacent to the refrigerator, ovens and pantry storage.  The angled end makes it easy to maneuver around and is parallel to the cook top area. In addition it is a few steps from the clean up area.

The sleek hood, glass block and full wall of tumbled marble across the corner of this design provide a dramatic focal point, add natural light and are placed in a such a manner to make the design highly efficient and functional.

This table was created for the Wynnewood renovation. The seamless stainless steel base was custom made and topped with glass to produce a one of a kind informal dining table.

 

Clean, bright and efficient best describe the kitchen in this new home in Bernville PA. Maple cabinetry, Corian and Quartz counter surfaces and stainless steel accents are combined in this contemporary design. Stacked cabinetry with a stainless steel intermediate molding are used to stretch the cabinetry to the ten foot ceilings, creating ample storage and a clean space.

A unique Transitional space created in this remodeled Villanova home.  Includes glass mosaic tiles, hand made back splash tiles, custom glass top on two level island and glass partition wall.
